🐍 Python for Beginners
Meet Python
## What is Python?
**Python** is one of the most popular programming languages in the world. It is simple and easy to read.
## Your first program
```python
print("Hello, CodeLab!")
```
`print()` shows whatever is inside the brackets on the screen. Text is written inside **quotes** `" "`.
## Printing numbers
```python
print(5 + 3) # 8
print(10 * 2) # 20
print("5 + 3") # 5 + 3 ← it's text, so it isn't calculated
```
> Anything written after the `#` sign is a **comment** — Python ignores it.
